On the Eye – Vigna Pedale ’10

Deep ruby at its core that runs to the rim with garnet reflections.

On the Nose – Vigna Pedale ’10

In no great rush to open. But when it started, its intense & increasingly complex nose talks about evolution. With mineral, dry herbal and mint like menthol notes to the fore, its concentrated red & black fruit notes were layered somewhat deeper in the mix. We like that.

On the Palate – Vigna Pedale ’10

Vigna Pedale’s full body is equally intense and complex with a vibrant acidity. Cloaked in sweet ripe tannins, a harmonic chord is struck with echoes of mature berries including ripe raspberry, dried rosemary, light spice, cigar box and pipe tobacco. A real persistent beauty, the tannic vibes are really sweet to behold. This Nero di Troia is a juicy and equally elegant red. Finesse comes to mind and we like finesse. Fresh on the attack with enduring tannic structure and balance, Torrevento have produced something seriously soulful. Not to mention bloody enjoyable.
